House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has failed to win his Speakership vote after 20 members of his caucus defected from the key Speakership vote. The 20 Representatives, one more than the original 19, voted for Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).
Newly minted House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries currently leads as no member of his caucus defected during the vote.
A fourth round of voting is expected.
