The White House announced earlier today that Vice President Kamala Harris tested positive for COVID-19 after a trip to California last week.
In a statement the White House wrote “Today, Vice President Harris tested positive for COVID-19 on rapid and PCR tests. She has exhibited no symptoms, will isolate and continue to work from the Vice President’s residence. She has not been a close contact to the President or First Lady due to their respective recent travel schedules. She will follow CDC guidelines and the advice of her physicians. The Vice President will return to the White House when she tests negative.”

Aides say that Harris tested positive before a scheduled Intelligence briefing with President Joe Biden. She was tested at the White House with a rapid test and a PCR test after which she left the White House. The Vice President was last seen with President Biden on April 18 at the White House Easter Egg Roll.
